Cotham #Bristol

Oh, Bristol, how you deliver! With a cultural scene that rivals many of the larger English cities and a food scene that has exploded seemingly out of nowhere, Bristol is offering so much more than just a city to visit. There are so many things to do in Bristol. Whether you are looking to explore the City, on business, or visiting children at Bristol University – staying in Cotham is the perfect location to do it all. A quiet suburb in Bristol, this ideal location delivers peace and quiet, leafy surroundings and cute coffee shops. An only 10-minute walk to the City Centre means you can really have your cake and eat it.

Visit Chandos Road

If you are a foodie or love a good meal out – you will love Chandos Road. This little street is packed full of eateries, from Wilks – the Michelin-starred restaurant that has been ruling Bristol for years, to Otira, an Argentinian delight. Whether you want tapas inspired by street food or you want to indulge in micropubs like Wilson’s, Chandos Road delivers over and over again.

Wilks Restaurant Bristol

The Old City

Bristol does beer better than most places in the UK, but Cotham Hill delivers a little better. Corks of Cotham is the boozy boutique that offers such an amazingly curated wine selection that you won’t want to go anywhere else. With craft beers and spirits that stand out, you’ll be overwhelmed with choice. Don’t worry, though the staff are highly knowledgeable and make buying beer so easy!

For those looking to stop for a meal for the evening, try out Pasta Loco but book in advance – they are so popular that getting a table isn’t the easiest thing to do and with that level of pasta mastery, can you blame them? You could also try out Bravas if your taste buds turn to tapas on occasion. It’s busy, not unlike the tapas delights of Barcelona, and it’s great as a late-night choice.

Keeping Up With Kingsdown

No one likes to stride up a giant hill, but if you want to get to Kingsdown for the best Sunday Roast in town, this is a hill that’s worth it! Take a chance to relax at Highbury Vaults, too, and play billiards at the bar. The hill is worth it to get to Psychopomp, also, the local distillery. Did you know that you can book in to learn how to make your own gin? Yep, it’s a delight and not to be missed. Kingsdown – like most other places, is a fiend for food with some of the best authentic Indian food around at Tiffins. Independent restaurants are one thing that Bristol does well, and Cotham does not disappoint.

Whether you are looking to explore the City, on business, or visiting children at Bristol University – staying in Cotham is the perfect location to do it all.
