As far as we’re aware, Cotham is the only neighbourhood in Bristol that has its own master of Oysters.

If you’re a fan of the ‘pearl of the ocean‘, we’d highly recommend getting some in from the Bristol Oyster Co. They also procure fresh mussels and other specialty shellfish if this is ‘up‘ your street.

If you’re staying in the area long enough to make a few home-cooked meals, then support the local greengrocers.

There is one on either side of the neighbourhood. Bristol Fruit & Veg in Cheltenham Road and Cotham Fruit & Veg on Cotham Hill. The team at each are super helpful and the produce is locally sourced, fresh and quality in both stores.

Earthbound is Cotham’s very own organic and fine foods retailer located on Cotham Hill. In there you’ll find a vast range of high-quality products. Again many locally sourced others from a little further afield, but nonetheless mindful.
