If you're a lover of a good unpretentious feeding, then these cool places to eat in Clifton should be a good head start...

As you'd expect, Clifton is home to some of Bristol’s coolest independent eateries...
Here's another of our entirely non-biased guide to splashing out a little on a nice lunch, afternoon or dinner in the neighbourhood of Clifton ...
#1 Somerset House
One of the most understated and underappreciated gastropubs in Clifton (and perhaps in Bristol), Somerset House is a classy pub in the Village with a huge selection of gins and lots of little nooks and crannies to enjoy some upmarket gastronomy.
#2 The Ivy Brasserie
I’m yet to hear someone say that they didn’t have an opulent time and The Ivy Brasserie nestled into the Bath stone-cladded street of one of Bristol’s most quaint neighbourhoods.
Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Afternoon Tea or Dinner… there’s always an excuse to book a table.
#3 The Lido Restaurant & Tapas Bar
If you’re wanting to go more upmarket and up the ambiance, lunch or dinner at The Lido will whisk you away to a place that feels like home. Its al fresco terraces are also a plus on a warm summer evening.
Oh and if the name Lido didn't give it away, it has a heated swimming pool and spa.
#4 The Mint Room
Voted no.1 in The Sunday Times in its poll for the Top 30 Restaurants for a Curry in the UK, introducing, The Mint Room .
We don’t think we need to say much more than this except that it is in Clifton and is a must if you’re a decerning curry lover.
#5 No.4 Clifton Village
Now if you like a bit of the hotel restaurant kinda fuss (which we are totally not), then this place can give you a little bit of this but in a more contemporary fashion.
Part of the Clifton Hotel Group, No. 4 Clifton Village is a take on Bristol’s more traditional hospitality gradually evolving with the times.
