If you're a lover of a good unpretentious feeding, then these cool places to eat in Clifton should be a good head start...

Clifton is home to some of Bristol’s coolest independent eateries...
Here's our entirely non-biased guide to eating your way through the neighbourhood of Clifton ...

#1 The Clifton Sausage
This little piggy is a good place to start if like us you love a humble foodie gaff that is independently run, focuses on quality produce and doesn’t overcomplicated things.
The owners are a delight and you really do get a sense of realness in this joint.
#2 The Albion
As far as Bristol pubs go, The Albion is one of our favourites.
In the winter, it provides a toasty and warm place to unwind in front of a log fire. In the spring and summer, the alfresco garden is a little heaven for a quenching spot for that post-work thirst.

#3 Bento Boss
Who isn’t loving a little bit of bento these days? We certainly are.
Bento Boss is one of the cities leading Japanese bento restaurants (yes there is more than one). But in Clifton, these guys are certainly running the roost in buzzy surroundings.

#4 Boscos Pizzeria
Clifton Villages prime pizza pitstop ( love a rule of three ).
Bosco’s is very reasonably priced and whether it arrives via Deliveroo or you manage to snatch a seat inside, you will want to stop by again. It’s a fact.
#5 Lost & Found
The cool kids on The Triangle, Lost & Found is contemporary dining done good. Not to mention that the Bar turns out some very dishy cocktails.

#6 The Giggling Squid
Everyone has heard of the Giggling Squid , a Thai revolution that has captured the attention of all far and wide.
The restaurant had a little makeover in 2020, repositioning itself as one of the nicest ‘bigger’ (chain) straunts in Clifton Village.
#7 Pizza Workshop
Pizza Workshop is another fab pizzeria that serves authentic stone-baked pizzas on sourdough bases.

#8 Bravas
Wanting to tap into some of the neighbourhood’s top tapas? Bravas is the one.
An ideal spot for meeting up with friends for a long lunch or light dinner. Best experienced with wine of course.
