#ParkingInCliftonVillage
Whether you're visiting Clifton Village for shopping, sightseeing, dining, or an overnight stay, parking is something worth planning in advance. While there are several convenient options nearby, spaces can fill up quickly, particularly on weekends, bank holidays, and during busy events. From on-street parking and council-run car parks to secure multi-storey facilities, there are choices to suit most visitors.
Knowing where to park before you arrive can save time, reduce stress, and help you make the most of your visit. Here's everything you need to know about parking in and around Clifton Village.
Clifton Village falls within Bristol City Council's Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), meaning on-street parking is managed to prioritise residents while still providing short-stay spaces for visitors. Most streets in and around the village have a mixture of resident permit bays, pay-and-display parking, and limited waiting areas.
Parking restrictions generally apply throughout the day, with many streets operating between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Saturday, although times and regulations can vary depending on the specific road. Always check the signs where you park, as some bays have maximum stay limits or are reserved exclusively for permit holders during certain hours.
On most of the streets around the Village, you'll find roadside Pay & Display Parking. Please do keep an eye out as some of the bays are just Pay & Display, some are Pay & Display as well as Permitted between certain timings and others are Permit Only.
We suggest you avoid permitted and time-specific spaces as the wardens are pretty thorough and as much as we'd love to cover the cost of your fine, sadly we can't do this.
