Just because you're on the move doesn't mean that you shouldn't be well fed and watered. And Clifton certainly accommodates...

These days, we're all very busy and we're always on the move. The days of a £2 meal deal from Tesco Express are well and truly behind us and we now have the millennial 'On The Go' way of life to keep up with.
Clifton is abreast with bijou cafes, bakeries, delis and everything in between. Here's our entirely non-biased guide to being well-fed and water while 'On The Go' in Clifton.
#1 Anna Cake Couture
Anna Cake Couture serves freshly baked cakes of the finest variety day in and day out. From thick, soft and gooey cookies, to macarons that illustrate every colour of the rainbow.
If you’re staying in the area for a special occasion we would highly recommend pre-ordering a cake from Anna.
#2 East Village Cafe
East Village Café brings all of those bright and colourful quirky products which you might find in an independent retailer and combines this unique shopping experience with a simple and stylish café culture.
The vegan cheese sandwich toasted is a total treat.
#3 Illy Café
According to Antonio on our Guest Relations Team, Illy Café serves by far the best Italian coffee on the market.
Needless to say, he is Italian and he’s 100% right on this one.
#4 The Mall Deli
The Mall Deli is one of the longest-standing delis in the area. The store is a carefully selected bundle of all those little novelty pantry products that we love.
They also have a mean grab ‘n’ go selection of freshly prepared salads, quiches, sausage rolls, the full works and done in a rustic and feel-good kinda way.
#5 Foliage Cafe
Just opposite Your Apartment – Clifton Village you’ll find the Foliage Café . Serving authentic and rustic brunch, lunch and all the little snacks you might fancy throughout the day.
Oh, and did we mention that when you pop in your surrounded by foliage. Is just bang on trend at the moment and we love that.
#6 Bakesmiths
Another trendy bakery come café, come workplace for many. This big open plan contemporary landmark is an eye-catcher on Whiteladies Road and for good reason.
With great coffee, cakes, sandwiches and all the other bits in between, Bakesmiths is worth popping your head in the door.
#7 Eat A Pitta
Eat A Pitta has taken off all over Bristol with its walk-through falafel bar.
At hella affordable prices and freshly turned out all day long, if you’re on the move and want something wholesome which fills a gap then this is your spot.
#8 Spicer & Cole
Spicer & Cole was created for those who would never be seen walking into Greggs. Its 'scandi' inspired interior creates a relaxed environment ( and who doesn't need a little bit of that when they are on the go? ).
It combines everything we love about a trendy high street coffee shop, but it also served some seriously good quality deli as well which is why it's so popular.
#9 Bar Chocolat
Attention chocolate lovers. Bar Chocolat is calling your name.
As if Clifton Village didn't already have it all, yes, they also have a chocolate cafe in the Village.
#10 Coffee Under Pressure
A more recent addition to the are is Coffee Under Pressure .
This (again) scandi inspired coffee shop does a seriously good cuppa coffee.
#11 Chandos Deli
We’ve rarely walked past this place and there’s not been a queue. Chandos Deli is a deli from the movies.
Part pantry and part deli, it’s the kind of place you want to be hanging around in for a couple of minutes just to have a look around.
