Bars That Will Get You Tipsy in Brixton

When it comes to letting your hair down, Brixton is home to some of the coolest bars in London. Here's a few places to stop by...

The Craft Beer Co. Brixton

#WhereToGetTipsy

Post-meal pitstops are a must, and Brixton delivers. Here are some of our favourite (& the coolest) bars in Brixton near our serviced apartments in Brixton

We love a drink and we’re pretty certain most of our guests enjoy or tipple or two as well. What can we say? It is very much expected when we just keep pulling out serviced apartments in epic neighbourhoods like Brixton.

Now the very last thing we would want is for you thirsty lot to check-in and be none the wiser as to where the best places are to get a drink near by.

So, it only made perfect sense for us to whip around the block a few times and sample several pints and a hefty few cocktails to bring you a trusty list of recommendations. Brixton is brimming with friendly, funky, feel good and feel chill pubs, cocktails bars and everything else in between.

Anyway, enough of that. Here are eight places which are just a short stroll from our serviced apartments in Brixton that should suit all tastes.

Acre Lane

Barrio Brixton

Bringing a taste of carnival life in Brazil to the suburb of Brixton, Barrio is bright, colourful and promises a night full of juice.

Their cocktails are full of theatre, including fire, ice and certainly pack a punch!

Founded by DJ Ferdie Ahmed, Barrio’s decks are packed with banging tunes which will keep you going into the depths of the AM.

Coldharbour Lane

Three Eight Four

This quaint little cocktail (and small plate) paradise in Brixton is a testament to what the whole scene is about. The food is freshly prepped, the team are super friendly. It’s the ideal place to get a feel for being a ‘Brixtoner’.

Three Eight Four also host a rather scrummy brunch on Saturday’s too which is worth attending with or without a hangover.

Coldharbour Lane

The Whiskey Tumbler

When summer arrives, this certainly is a popular place to sip a sundowner. The Whiskey Tumbler has a small drinking garden for those who like a little al fresco on a warm summers night.

They have a stellar flight of serves and a particularly knowledgeable team behind the bar. That said, it make everything seem a lot more relaxed and independent (which we love). Also a good one to visit should you be a little peckish.

Acre Lane

Hope & Anchor

The cocktails are as colourful as the surroundings at the Hope & Anchor on Coldharbour Lane. Another great spot for cocktails with a rather cool outdoor soiree seated area.

From spring all the way through to the late autumn, this place is the kind of place you’ll want to visit more than once.

Brixton Station Road

The Craft Beer Co.

If you’ve had enough of the boujee cocktails and prefer yourself a humble pint then the Craft Beer Co. are on hand to serve you exactly that.

This place is a step between a trendy cocktail bar and your local pub with a rather masculine sentiment. Craft beer lovers will be in awe and traditional chuggers will be in for something which feels a little extra but doesn’t push them too far out their comfort zone.

Trinity Gardens

Trinity Arms

Move aside Weatherspoon’s, there is no place for you here. They call themselves ‘Brixton’s favourite local’ for a very good reason. And this is because they are!

Not only do they have a great number of ales on tap as well as by the bottle, they also have a carefully chosen and reasonable selection of wines from across the globe. Certainly as you would expect from great local hangout.

PS: The Trinity Arms also has a epic beer garden & is dog friendly – what’s not to love?!
