Here are the top things to see & do during your stay at one of our serviced apartments in Cotham, Bristol in 2021. Read the guide...

Thinking of stopping over one of our short terms lets in Cotham? It is often quite easy to feel like you're miles away from the city and the rush of life. But as a matter of fact, many pretty epic experiences are just around the corner…
There is a reason why Cotham has become in recent years such an aspirational neighbourhood. Most think it is because of Bristol University and its proximity to Clifton and the City Centre, but in our opinion, that is a load of misinformed nonsense.
Cotham has a lot going on and here's what you should be planning on including in your visit to the area...

Cheltenham Road
The ever-transforming Cheltenham Road runs parrel to the edge of Cotham's vibrant community.
You'll find some great independent bars, restaurants, cafes and boutique shops which are certainly worth snatching a table at during your stay.

Bristol Oyster Co.
As far as we're aware, Cotham is the only neighbourhood in Bristol that has its own master of Oysters.
If you're a fan of the ' pearl of the ocean ', we'd highly recommend getting some in from the Bristol Oyster Co . They also procure fresh mussels and other specialty shellfish if this is ' up ' your street.

'Cooking It’
If you're a foodie that not only loves to try new foods but also learning to cook it, then Cotham has its very own cookery school.
Cooking It has various classes going on every day and can be a really good morning or afternoon be it alone or with a few family members or friends.

Local Street Art
Bristol is known for its ever-increasing portfolio of local street art and Cotham is no exception.
When you're in the neighbourhood, take a long stroll on foot or even pick up a Voi Scooter and seek out some of the local street art. Be it for your Insta or Tik Tok or if you've got an eye for photography it can be a great few hours spent.
Chandos Road
Chandos Road is fast becoming one of the most trendy places for new independents in Bristol.
This little street is packed full of eateries, from Wilks – the Michelin-starred restaurant that has been ruling Bristol for years, to Chandos Social, an Argentinian tapas gaff. Whether you want street food or to indulge in micropubs like Chums, Chandos Road delivers over and over again.

Cotham Gardens, Lovers Walk & Grove Park
If we've learnt anything over the past year or more, it is that you can't underappreciate a good walk.
Cotham has a couple of good footsteps which are worth wandering over. From the large green space which is Cotham Gardens. This is lovingly looked after by Bristol City Council across the seasons. And for those couples ( or singletons who hate missing out ) there is Lovers Walk.
Grove Park is also a lovely spot leading on from Lovers Walk, so if you're going to do one of these spots, you may as well eat your heart out and do all three.

Neighbourhood of Clifton
We know we said that Cotham was its own place and rightly so, but we can't avoid that one of the great things about Cotham is that it is adjoined to Clifton which in itself has a whole other ecosystem of things to see, do and explore.
Read of Clifton Landmarks Bucket List for a rundown of what you might fancy doing if you took a stroll just outside of Cotham and into this iconic neighbourhood.

The Old City
On the South East side of the area, you'll find The Old City of Bristol.
If you're a bit of a sightseer and you like to fill your boots with a little bit of local history, The Old City (aside from Clifton) is certain a good place to make a start on this.

Bristol City Centre
Finally, last but certainly not least is the incredible City of Bristol. Right there and on the doorstep to Cotham.
You don't have to worry about taxis, scooters, buses, etc. A short 5 or 10-minute walk and you'll be at the epicenter of the cultural hive which is our beautiful city which we call home.
