Wake up to Tower Bridge at dawn. Watch the City lights come on at dusk. These are the short-term lets in London that put the skyline on your doorstep, without the hotel price tag.

Booking a hotel room with a view in London has always been possible, if you're willing to pay for it. But a serviced apartment with a view gives you something no hotel can: the space to actually live inside that view. To make your morning coffee watching the Thames glitter below, to work from home with the City as your backdrop, to entertain guests with a skyline that does all the talking for you.
At Your Apartment, several of our London properties are positioned specifically for the views they command, from penthouse-level city panoramas in Monument to direct sight lines of Tower Bridge and St Paul's Cathedral. This guide covers each one: what you'll see, what makes it special, and who it's best suited to.
All properties are available for short stays, extended business trips, or long-term lets. The longer you stay, the better the rate, with discounts of up to 25% off for stays of 30 nights or more.

1. Monument — City of London
"Penthouse-level panoramas over the City of London financial district."
For a serviced apartment with a view in London that genuinely rivals the best hotel penthouses, but at a fraction of the cost, and with infinitely more space, the Monument property is difficult to beat. Set in the heart of the City of London financial district, this is an apartment that positions you at the centre of one of the world's great skylines.
The higher-floor and penthouse apartments here command sweeping views across the rooftops and towers of EC3 and EC4, the glass spires of the Gherkin, the curved bulk of the Walkie Talkie, and the dome of St Paul's Cathedral visible across the river of office buildings. By day, it's a masterclass in modern architecture; at night, when the City lights up, it becomes something close to spectacular.
The location is equally impressive. Monument station is steps away, connecting you to the Circle and District lines. Cannon Street, Bank, and the northern end of London Bridge are all within a five-minute walk. The restaurant scene around the Monument area, Bloomberg Arcade, Leadenhall Market, is outstanding, and Spitalfields Market is 20 minutes on foot if you want to self-cater.

2. Tower Bridge Road
"Tower Bridge — arguably London's most recognisable view — from your own apartment."
If you had to name the single most photogenic view in London, Tower Bridge would be on most lists. Built between 1886 and 1894, it remains the defining symbol of the city, the image that appears on every postcard, every guidebook, every Instagram grid of a London visit. To have it as the view from your serviced apartment is something genuinely special, and something no hotel in the immediate area can replicate at the same price point.
The Tower Bridge Road apartments are positioned on the south bank of the Thames in Bermondsey, one of London's most rapidly evolving neighbourhoods. Bermondsey Street, lined with independent restaurants, galleries and the excellent Fashion and Textile Museum, is a short walk away. Borough Market, the capital's finest food market, is 10 minutes on foot. Tooley Street connects you quickly north across London Bridge toward Monument and the City.
These apartments are particularly well-suited to leisure breaks, couples, and visitors for whom being near the capital's iconic landmarks is the priority. The walk along the Thames Path east toward St Katharine Docks and the Tower of London itself takes around 15 minutes, making this an exceptional base for exploring the historic east side of the riverfront.
3. St Paul's
"Wren's masterpiece, framed by your window. The most architecturally magnificent short-term let in the City."
St Paul's Cathedral is one of the world's greatest buildings. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and consecrated in 1708, it has dominated the London skyline for over 300 years, surviving the Great Fire, the Blitz, and every architectural upheaval since. To have it visible from your serviced apartment window is to live inside one of the most iconic images in British cultural history.
The St Paul's apartments are located in the streets immediately surrounding the cathedral, placing you in one of the City of London's most atmospheric corners. Paternoster Square, the Millennium Bridge, and Tate Modern on the opposite bank of the river are all within a few minutes on foot. Fleet Street, the Barbican, and the financial core of the City are equally accessible, making this one of the most professionally well-connected positions in central London.
For visitors on extended stays, the location is particularly rewarding. The area around St Paul's has some of the City's best lunch options and is surrounded by the quiet Georgian streets and covered markets that make London's older neighbourhoods such a pleasure to explore on foot. Whether you're here for a two-night cultural break or a six-week project, the view doesn't get old.

4. Tower of London
"A 1,000-year-old fortress as your nearest neighbour. London doesn't get more historic than this."
The Tower of London is one of the most visited historic sites in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has stood on the north bank of the Thames since William the Conqueror began construction in 1066. To be based in a serviced apartment immediately adjacent to it is to experience a side of London that most visitors only see from the outside of a ticket barrier.
The Tower of London apartments offer a genuinely unique short-term let experience: the kind of living situation where you can wander down for a morning walk along the Thames Path at 7am, before the tour groups arrive, and have the ancient walls and the river views almost entirely to yourself. It's the closest thing in London to having a private relationship with one of the world's great historic monuments.
The surrounding area is rich with things to see and do. St Katharine Docks, a beautifully preserved Victorian dock complex, is immediately to the east. Tower Bridge and Bermondsey are a short walk south across the river. The Tube station at Tower Hill (Circle and District lines) puts you at Monument, Embankment or Westminster within minutes. For families visiting London with children, the combination of the Tower of London, HMS Belfast and the adjacent riverside walks makes this one of the best-located bases in the capital.

5. Liverpool Street
"Where the glass towers of the City meet the creative energy of the East End — with skyline views to match."
Liverpool Street sits at one of London's most dynamic junctions, the boundary between the financial City and the creative East End, where the gleaming towers of EC2 give way to the Victorian market halls of Spitalfields and the colourful streets of Shoreditch. A serviced apartment here puts you at the centre of this convergence, with city views that reflect the area's dual character: old and new London, face to face.
The Liverpool Street apartments offer views across the evolving City of London skyline from the north and east, a perspective that includes some of the capital's most striking modern architecture, including the Heron Tower and the distinctive cluster of buildings around Bishopsgate. As a base, the location is hard to fault: Liverpool Street station, one of London's busiest and best-connected hubs, is on the doorstep, with the Elizabeth line now offering direct services to Heathrow in under 40 minutes and to Canary Wharf in under 10.
For business travellers, this is among the most strategically positioned short-term lets in London. For leisure visitors, the proximity to Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane and Shoreditch's independent restaurants and bars gives the stay a colour and energy that more central locations can struggle to match.

6. King's Cross
"London's most transformed neighbourhood — canal views, contemporary architecture, and a city in constant reinvention."
King's Cross is the most dramatic regeneration story in London. Where derelict gasholders and industrial wasteland once dominated the land behind the Victorian station, there now stands one of Europe's most acclaimed urban developments: a dense, mixed-use neighbourhood of residential buildings, restaurants, galleries, office campuses and, running through the middle of it, the Regent's Canal, one of London's most beautiful and underrated waterways.
A serviced apartment in King's Cross gives you access to this transformed neighbourhood, with views across the canalside and the roofscape of a new London taking shape around you. The Coal Drops Yard, a beautifully repurposed Victorian industrial complex now housing independent retailers and restaurants, is moments away. The Granary Square fountains and the outdoor terraces of the restaurants surrounding them create a waterfront atmosphere that feels closer to Amsterdam or Copenhagen than central London.
For guests on longer stays or those relocating temporarily to London, King's Cross is an exceptional base. The transport connections are second to none: St Pancras International (Eurostar) and King's Cross mainline station are right there, with the Northern, Victoria, Metropolitan, Circle, Hammersmith and Piccadilly lines all serving the local Tube station. Whether your work takes you to Canary Wharf, Heathrow, Edinburgh or Paris, you can get there from here.
Tips for Booking a London Apartment with a View
Ask about floor level when booking. In any apartment building, the view improves significantly with height. When booking a short-term let in London for the view specifically, always ask which floor the apartment is on, and whether higher floors are available. We're always happy to advise on which specific units have the best aspect.
Early morning and late evening are the best viewing times. The City of London skyline at 7am, before the streets fill up, or at dusk, when the office lights come on across the towers, offers a quality of view you simply won't get during the working day. Budget some time each day to actually enjoy what you're paying for.
Book early for peak dates. London's best-positioned apartments, particularly those with direct views of Tower Bridge or the City skyline, fill up quickly, especially for stays coinciding with major events. If you have a specific property in mind, get in touch early. We recommend booking at least four to six weeks ahead for peak summer and Christmas periods.
For extended stays, self-catering transforms the experience. All our apartments include fully equipped kitchens. If you're staying for two weeks or more, being able to cook at home, shopping at Spitalfields, Borough Market or your local Waitrose, dramatically changes the rhythm of a long stay, and saves money that you can put toward experiences instead.
Zone 1 locations mean you're never far from anything. Every property in this guide sits in Zone 1, meaning every major London attraction, business district and transport hub is reachable in under 30 minutes on the Tube. The views are the headline, but the locations are what make these apartments genuinely excellent bases for the full London experience.
