Why Milton Keynes is the Smart Base
for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone
The British Grand Prix is back. Taking place 2–5 July 2026, Silverstone delivers four days of world-class racing alongside a packed entertainment line-up — and if you're planning to make the most of the full weekend, where you stay matters as much as your ticket.

#Race stays
Silverstone sits in rural Northamptonshire, which means accommodation close to the circuit gets booked out early, and priced accordingly. Milton Keynes is roughly 30 miles away, with fast road links via the A43 and M1, putting you within easy striking distance of the circuit without the premium that comes with being on its doorstep.
More importantly, you're staying somewhere that actually works as a base for four days, not a converted barn or a budget room with a car park view.

What is the British Grand Prix
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone delivers four days of world-class racing alongside a packed entertainment line-up, and it is one of the loudest, most electric weekends in the entire sporting calendar. The 2026 edition takes place from 2–5 July, with free practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, and the race on Sunday. The crowds are massive, the atmosphere is unlike anything else, and the circuit, with its sweeping Maggotts-Becketts complex and flat-out Copse corner, rewards every fan who makes the trip.
For 2026, five British drivers are set to be on the starting grid: Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton at McLaren and Ferrari respectively, George Russell at Mercedes, Oliver Bearman at Haas, and rookie Arvid Lindblad at Racing Bulls. It's shaping up to be the most compelling home race in years.

Where Is Silverstone?
Silverstone Circuit sits in rural Northamptonshire, straddling the border with Buckinghamshire, roughly equidistant between Northampton and Towcester. It's a stunning setting, former airfield turned motorsport cathedral, but that rural location means accommodation within a few miles of the circuit is extremely limited and typically eye-wateringly expensive during race week.
Milton Keynes changes the equation entirely. Located approximately 30 miles south of Silverstone via the A43 and M1, it gives you a comfortable, well-connected base without the premium that comes with being on the circuit's doorstep. You get a proper city, real transport options, and somewhere worth coming back to after a long day on the hill.

Space to Come Back To
After a full day of engines, crowds and (inevitably) a British summer shower or two, a proper apartment makes a real difference. Our 65 design-led studios in Milton Keynes come fully equipped, full kitchen, Smart TV with Netflix, Hypnos mattress, super-fast WiFi, and soft linen and towels throughout. Cook your own breakfast before heading out, come back to your own space in the evening, and skip the queue for an overpriced hotel restaurant.
If you want to extend the day, our on-site co-working space is free for guests, useful if you're mixing the race weekend with remote work. The fully equipped gym, complete with Peloton kit, is there if you want to balance out the hospitality.

The Longer You Stay, the More You Save
The British Grand Prix weekend runs Thursday to Sunday, making it a natural four-night stay. Our extended stay discounts mean the maths work in your favour:
For a race weekend, locking in a seven-night block (arriving early, leaving after the dust settles) gets you a meaningful discount over nightly rates.

Parking Available
We have 12 parking spaces on-site, available to book at £8 per day on a first-come, first-served basis. Given the circuit will be at capacity all weekend, having a guaranteed space back at base is worth planning ahead for. Get in touch as soon as you've booked to secure yours.

Spaces running out
Tickets to the British Grand Prix sell out fast — and so does accommodation. If you're heading to Silverstone this July, view our Milton Keynes apartments or get in touch to check availability.
