If you’re planning a stay at Your Apartment - Milton Keynes for vacations, business breaks, or even to see Silverstone, you’ll be pleased to know that we do have some onsite parking available for guests. However, with just 11 spaces in total, these are limited and often fill up quickly.

Parking in Milton Keynes is generally straightforward, but restrictions vary depending on where you are in the city. Central Milton Keynes (CMK) has a large number of clearly marked parking bays, with different tariffs and restrictions indicated by colour-coded bays and nearby signage. Council parking charges currently apply from 7am to 6pm every day, except Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.

Across Central Milton Keynes, you’ll find a mixture of standard, premium, long-stay, disabled and permit-only parking bays. It’s important to check the markings and signs before leaving your vehicle, as the permitted length of stay and payment requirements can vary between bays. Some residential areas elsewhere in Milton Keynes also operate permit schemes, including parts of Central Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Campbell Park, Loughton, Oldbrook and Stony Stratford

Milton Keynes has a wide range of pay-and-display parking, particularly throughout Central Milton Keynes (CMK). Parking areas are divided into different tariff types, so it’s worth checking the signs and bay markings before leaving your vehicle. The council operates both standard-rate and premium-rate bays, with premium spaces generally located closer to shops, offices, restaurants and other popular destinations.

For 2026/27, standard-rate parking starts at £2 for the first two hours, followed by 50p per additional hour. Premium-rate parking costs £2.50 for the first hour, followed by £2 per additional hour. Longer-stay parking is also available, including designated CMK and railway station parking at £10 for up to 12 hours, making these areas more suitable for commuters, business travellers and visitors staying for most of the day.

Distance: Approximately 2–3 minutes' walk from Platinum House
Facilities: Open-air council-managed parking with pay-and-display/cashless payment options in the surrounding CMK parking zones.
Cost: Depends on the bay type. Current council tariffs include standard bays from £1 for the first two hours and premium bays from £2.50 for the first hour.
Access: Conveniently located on North Second Street, making it one of the closest alternatives to the apartments.
Booking: Generally no advance booking required; council parking can be paid for using RingGo where indicated.
Note: Always check the colour and signage of your specific bay, as tariffs and restrictions can vary within the same area.

2. North Third Street Parking

Address: North Third Street, Milton Keynes, MK9 1LZ
Distance: Approximately 4–6 minutes' walk from Platinum House
Facilities: Open-air public parking conveniently located between the apartments and Milton Keynes Central Station.
Cost: Charges depend on the designated parking zone. Council long-stay bays are currently £10 for the day, while standard and premium tariffs vary according to length of stay.
Access: Easy access from North Third Street and within walking distance of both Platinum House and the city centre.
Booking: Usually pay on arrival or via RingGo where available.
Note: A useful option for guests who need to leave their car for several hours, although checking whether you're in a standard, premium or long-stay bay is essential.

3. Elder Gate Multi-storey Car Park (MKCC)

Address: Elder Gate, Milton Keynes Central, MK9 1LR
Distance: Approximately 7–10 minutes' walk from Platinum House
Facilities: Multi-storey public parking close to Milton Keynes Central Station.
Cost: Tariffs vary, so check the current rate displayed at the car park before parking.
Access: Convenient access from Elder Gate; listed opening hours are generally 6am–10pm Monday to Friday, so guests should check current hours before relying on it for overnight access.
Booking: Typically pay on arrival; check signage for the available payment methods.
Note: A good alternative when the parking spaces immediately around North Second Street are busy, particularly for guests who also need quick access to Milton Keynes Central Station.

• 152 N Second St Parking — Accessible parking nearby. Central Milton Keynes has designated disabled bays, and Blue Badge holders can also park free of charge and without a time limit in council pay-and-display bays, provided a valid Blue Badge is displayed.
• North Third Street Parking — Yes. Parking information for North Third Street specifically identifies Disabled Person Permit Only spaces.
• Elder Gate Multi-storey Car Park (MKCC) — Accessible parking is available in the Elder Gate area. Milton Keynes Council's CMK parking area includes marked disabled bays around Elder Gate.

Tips for Parking Near Milton Keynes

Congestion Charge Zone: Milton Keynes is not within a Congestion Charge Zone, so there is no daily congestion charge for driving into the city.

Advance Booking: Parking is widely available throughout Central Milton Keynes, but booking or arranging parking in advance is recommended, particularly for overnight stays and busy periods. Guests staying at Your Apartment – Milton Keynes should request one of the limited on-site spaces ahead of arrival.

Height Restrictions: Most outdoor council parking bays around Central Milton Keynes have no height restrictions. Multi-storey and covered car parks may have vehicle height limits, so always check the individual car park before travelling, especially if you're driving a van or larger vehicle.
