Old Market is gradually redefining itself as one of Bristol's most up-and-coming suburbs. Here's our complete local guide to Old Market...

We're fortunate enough to have a plethora of design forward Serviced Apartments in the Old Market neighbourhood!
The high street is forever reinventing itself and with that comes an abundance of new bars, pubs and venues to catch a craft ale, a batch gin or even a local lager.
Here’s our A to Z of the top places to grab a beverage when visiting the area.

Old Market Tavern
A friendly local tavern which is hugely popular with the locals. It is LGBT friendly and has a quiet suntrap of a beer garden.
The prices are very reasonable and if you're vegan they have quite a substantial food offering.

The Punchbowl
A few doors down from the Old Market Tavern is The Punchbowl. It's slightly more gastro on the pub spectrum and has a classy but not so sunny rear terrace.
Prices are fair and they also have a rather nice selection of cocktails should you want something less draftee.

Old Market Assembly
With it's own cinema room, stage and gin bar, the Old Market Assembly is where it tends to all be happening in Old Market.
Open 7 days a week, often with some kind of themed night also on offer, this is a jewel in Old Markets crown. Not to mention it has a large sun terrace on the roof which is a glorious place to be on a warm summers day.

To The Moon
...and if you're thinking the Ill Repute might be your cup of tea then once you've drank the bar dry, you can stumble around the corner to To The Moon. Another chilled, playful drinkerie which will take you into the early hours.
There's also often a dance available here too should you want to let your hair down.

Old Castle Green
The 'OCG' as the locals know it, is a traditional pub (with references to the Queen Vic or Rover Returns) which has a friendly atmosphere as well as a rather large behind.
By behind, we of course mean beer garden which on a warm summers evening can be quite the buzz. It is also LGBT friendly.

The Phoenix
Know for a real good buzz most nights of the week, The Phoenix has all your favourite plus a great selection of local ales, lagers and everything else that you'd expect from a awesome pub.
The service is always on form and the staff are always friendly and bubbly. They also regularly host some themed nights which are always a laugh if you're into that kind thing.

The Volunteer Tavern
Particularly popular with the local designers, architects, as well as residents of Old Market, 'The Volley' is mostly outdoors but undercover and was the first pub in Bristol to pay the national living wage as oppose to minimum wage.
It has a friendly crowd and is always a struggle to get a table, which arguably means the place speaks for itself.
