Are you ready to banish those winter blues? Good news! The Canary Wharf Winter Lights Festival is back for its eighth consecutive year, turning the borough into a dazzling wonderland from January 17th to 27th.
So, mark your calendars and get ready to experience a mesmerising blend of nature and technology as innovative light artists showcase their talents. From 5 pm to 10 pm, the Canary Wharf Estate will come alive with a spectacular array of lights that promise moments of both stimulation and stillness.
Unbelievably, the Winter Lights Festival is absolutely free to visit! But a word of caution: weekends can get pretty crowded. To make the most of your experience, consider planning your visit on weeknights and book somewhere near by, our fantastic new Old Kent Road Apartments for example!

Embark on a journey through 12 awe-inspiring temporary installations and explore the perennially beloved permanent light artworks.
Featuring some of the most ground-breaking light artists from around the world, the line-up illuminates the convergence and contrast of nature and technology. This allows for moments of both excitement and reflection, where beauty harmonises with technical prowess.
Picture Westferry Circus ignited by the dancing flames of Sign, indulge in a contemplative marble run at Wren Landing, wander amidst the geometric monoliths in Crossrail Place Roof Garden, submerge yourself in Squidsoup's captivating Submergence at Montgomery Square, and marvel at a larger-than-life laser projection at Union Square.
The trail promises a captivating blend of artistic brilliance and technological marvels that will leave you in awe.
Dine and Shine
Don't worry the festival isn't just a feast for your eyes! Take a stroll through the festival and treat your taste buds to delicious delights from pop-up food markets offering scrumptious street food and hot drinks.
Feeling a bit chilly? Head over to Jubilee Park , just around the corner, where pop-up fire pits await, perfect for toasting marshmallows and warming up.
If you prefer a more refined dining experience, explore the many restaurants and bars in Canary Wharf. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or just a quick bite, the options are endless.
