The Monument is located within the City of London, where parking regulations are strictly enforced to keep traffic flowing through one of the capital's busiest business districts. Most surrounding streets operate as Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), with parking reserved for residents, businesses, or permit holders during controlled hours.

Restrictions typically apply Monday to Friday, with many roads also enforcing controls on Saturdays, so it's essential to check nearby signage before leaving your vehicle.

Pay-and-display parking is available on selected streets around The Monument, although spaces are limited and can fill up quickly, particularly during weekday business hours. Most on-street parking bays in the City of London are managed through RingGo, allowing you to pay and extend your parking session using the mobile app or online rather than purchasing a paper ticket.

Tower Hill Car and Coach Park – This is the best option for Blue Badge holders, with 13 dedicated accessible parking bays, step-free access, and EV charging. It is also one of the closest car parks to The Monument and the Tower of London. Blue Badge holders pay the standard parking tariff.

Minories Car Park – The car park provides 5 dedicated accessible parking bays, lift access between levels, and step-free pedestrian access, making it a good choice for visitors requiring accessible facilities. Standard parking charges apply.

NCP London Vintry Thames Exchange – The car park has 3 accessible parking bays and accessible access throughout the facility, although availability is more limited than the City of London-operated car parks.

For most visitors with accessibility requirements, Tower Hill Car and Coach Park is the strongest recommendation thanks to its larger number of accessible bays, step-free access, and its short walk to both The Monument and the Tower of London.

Congestion Charge Zone:
The Monument is located within London's Congestion Charge Zone. If you're driving between 7:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday, and 12:00pm to 6:00pm on weekends and Bank Holidays, you may need to pay the daily Congestion Charge unless your vehicle is exempt.

Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ):
The Monument also falls within the ULEZ, which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Vehicles that do not meet the required emissions standards will be subject to a daily charge, so it's worth checking your vehicle before travelling.
