- Put your oats in a bowl with a sprinkle of demerara sugar, cinnamon and mix. Add milk and stir again.
- Then place into the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. You can also do this in a saucepan on the hob, but this may slow things down a bit. You want the oats to have soaked up most of the milk but still be a little bit runny as it will continue to cook once you’ve served it.
Be sure to stop and stir regularly as it is easy to overcook the oats and end up with a lump of porridge as opposed to a bowl.
While that’s going on chop your banana and strawberries – if you choose to have this more frequently then by all means feel free to mix it up with blackberries, raspberries, you name it.
Once the oats are ready, add a dollop of natural yogurt and your berries and a little extra sprinkle of cinnamon and bobs your uncle. You’re fed.
